Mujadara Musafaya is one of the most beloved dishes in the Lebanese cuisine, that is full of flavors and benefits. You can serve it with cabbage salad or turnip pickles . It’s worth the try!


1 cup lentils

½ cup white rice

2 big onions, diced

1 tablespoon corn oil

1 tablespoon olive oil

salt to taste

How to Cook:

Boil the lentils and rice in one pot for 40 to 50 minutes.

In another pan, fry the onions with corn oil until golden brown

Grind the lentils, rice and onions with a manual grinder. If the mixture is stiff, add water.

On the stove, stir the mixture on low heat until it becomes bubbly and thick. Then, add salt and olive oil.

Pour the mixture into several plates or into one big plate and let it cool.

Serve with cabbage salad & toasted pita bread.
