How about another crowd pleaser with Sousou's flair! Try to guess the secret spice used which complements the hazelnut.


4 eggs

2 cups grated carrots

1 cup grounded hazelnut

1½ cups sugar

2 cups flour

1 cup corn oil

2 teaspoons baking powder

2 teaspoons cinnamon powder

1 teaspoon grated lemon rind

1 inch vanilla

How to Cook:

Beat the eggs, sugar, vanilla and grated lemon in a medium bowl with an electric mixer until it becomes light and fluffy.

Add the flour, carrot & hazelnut in three batches;

Add the corn oil in two batches and then add the baking powder and cinnamon. Mix well.

Spread the mixture into a battered pan.

Bake in oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 50 to 60 minutes.
