Sousou brings her skills to life to present you with the famous Chicken Halabi Dish infused with spices and special seasoning, accompanied with deliciously cooked rice rich in color and flavor.



5 chicken legs, cut into 10 pieces

½ cup soy sauce

salt and pepper

1 teaspoon herb de provence

¼ teaspoon cinnamon

3 chicken breasts, cut into 12 pieces

2 tablespoons honey

¼ teaspoon nutmeg

½ cup red vinegar

½ cup olive oil

½ cup lemon juice

¼ teaspoon cumin

1 medium onion, cut into small cubes

4 smashed garlic cloves

2 tablespoons tomato paste


1 big onion, cut into cubes

2 garlic cloves, smashed

1 sweet green pepper, diced

3 carrots, diced

½ teaspoon saffron

2 cups uncle ben’s rice

2½ cups water

2 tablespoons corn oil

How to Cook:


In a bowl, combine the tomato paste, cumin, lemon juice and oil together. Then, add the vinegar, soy sauce, and honey. Next, add the nutmeg, cinnamon, garlic, salt and pepper. Finally, add the Herb de Provence and onions.

Marinate the chicken in the mixture overnight.

The following day, put the chicken and the mixture in a tray and bake it in the oven until it becomes golden brown.


Soak the rice in water for half an hour before cooking.

In a pan, fry the onions with oil. Then, add the garlic, carrots, pepper, and saffron. Add half cup of water and let it simmer for seven minutes. Finally, add the rice, salt and the remaining water.

 Once it starts boiling, reduce the heat and cook the rice until all the water has evaporated.
