Chicken and Chinese go along so good! Yet most ladies do the same mistake of exaggerated seasoning seeking a richer taste. Sousou offers the best recipe with the simplest ingredients!

Ingredients

  • 10 Chicken legs (boneless)
  • 2 Chicken breasts, cut into quarters
  • 1 Sweet green pepper cut into big cubes
  • 1 Sweet yellow pepper cut into big cubes
  • 1 Sweet red pepper cut into big cubes
  • 3 Medium onions, thinly sliced
  • 3 Carrots, cut round
  • 1 Big can of mushrooms, sliced
  • ½ Cup vinegar
  • 1 Cube Magi dissolved in 1 cup of hot water
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

 

Sauce:

 

  • 1 Tablespoon corn flour
  • ½ Cup soy sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
  • ½ Cup of Water
  • ½ Teaspoon fresh ginger
  • Salt to taste

 

Rice:

 

  • ½ Sweet red pepper, cubed
  • ½ Yellow pepper, cubed
  • ½ Green pepper, cubed
  • 1 Cup basmati rice
  • 2 Tablespoons oil
  • 2 Cups water
  • ½ Cup fried cashew nuts

How to Cook:
  • Rub the chicken pieces with oil, salt and pepper; Place them in the Pyrex. Then, bake them in the oven until golden brown. Set aside.
  • Fry the onions and strain them. Repeat the same procedure for the carrots, peppers and mushrooms.
  • Place in one pan the onions, carrot, mushrooms and water, add the cube Maggi and vinegar. Cook for 15 minutes.

 

Sauce:

 

  • In a separate bowl, combine the corn flour, soy sauce and brown sugar. Then, add ½ cup of water. Next, add salt and ginger and mix well. Then, add them to the mixture of onions and peppers.
  • Lastly add the chicken and let simmer for 20 minutes or until the sauce thickens.

 

Rice:

 

  • Boil Basmati rice.
  • On the stove, fry the three types of pepper and add them to the boiled rice. Then, add salt.
  • Decorate the plate with fried cashew nuts.
