Fattouch is probably the most famous oriental salad ever! Sousou adds its usual touch when it comes to ingredients choice and non fried bread croutons, here it goes!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup parsley leaves
  • 2 ½ cup fresh mint leaves
  • 3  medium tomatoes, cut into cubes (2 cm each)
  • 1  big onion, chopped into small cubes
  • 5  cucumbers, cut into circles
  • 1 cup purslane
  • 8  big lettuce leaves, cut into slices
  • 5  small radishes, cut into circles
  • 1  Lebanese bread (pita bread), cut into squares
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 10 seedless black olives
  • 1 tablespoon extra olive oil for the bread
Dressing:
  • 2 Tablespoons  squeezed Lemons
  • 4 Tablespoons  Olive Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons  Sumac
  • 2 Tablespoons  Pomegranate molasses
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to Cook:
  • Mix the bread with one tablespoon of oil and toast it in the oven until it becomes golden brown. Stir it from time to time. Set aside.
  • Combine the oil, lemon, salt, black pepper and sumac together. Then, add the pomegranate molasses.
  • Put all the remaining ingredients in one big bowl. Then, add the sauce and mix well. Place the toasted bread on top.
