grilled fish with hot sauce

Ingredients

FISH

1½ kg fish, (cleaned & washed)

1 lemon, cut into round slices

1 medium onion, peeled and cut into round slices

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon salt

SAUCE

½ bunch coriander, finely chopped

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 onion, diced

4 garlic cloves, smashed

1 hot green pepper (jalapeno), finely chopped

100 g grated walnuts

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup lemon juice

¾ cup tahini (sesame paste)

1 cup water

How to Cook:

FISH:

Rub the fish with salt and oil.

Place the fish in aluminum foil. Place some slices of lemon & onion inside the fish, underneath it and on top. Close the aluminum foil.

Add water in a tray and then place the covered fish in the water.

Bake in the oven at 250 degrees C. for 50 to 60 minutes.

SAUCE:

Mix tahini with lemon & water and set aside.

Fry onion & garlic with oil then, add coriander, jalapeno and salt. Next, add the tahini mixture.

Continue stirring and cooking on low heat until it starts boiling

Lastly, add the grated walnuts and remove from stove.

You can fry ¼ cup pine nuts to decorate the sauce.
