Ingredients

1 cup lentils

¼ cup white rice

1  big onion cut into cubes

2 tablespoons butter ghee or oil

7 cups water

salt to taste

How to Cook:

Boil the lentils and rice with 6 cups water in one pot for 40 to 50 minutes.

In another pan, fry the onions with butter ghee until it turns to golden brown.

Grind the lentils, rice and onions with a manual grinder.

Add one cup of water or more if needed. Stir the mixture on low heat until it thickens or until it starts boiling. Then, add salt.
