“Lokma” is a special dessert, easy to prepare and made with few ingredients. You can serve it during Ramadan or any other occasions.

Ingredients

SYRUP

4 cups sugar

2 cups water

1 teaspoon orange blossom water

1 teaspoon rose water

3 tablespoons squeezed lemon

DOUGH

6 cups flour

2 ½ tablespoons corn flour

1 teaspoon instant yeast

1 teaspoon sugar

1 pinch salt

3-4 cups water

How to Cook:

SYRUP:

In a pan on the stove, boil the sugar with water while stirring constantly. When it thickens, add the rose water, orange blossom water and lemon juice.

DOUGH:

Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well until you obtain a loose and soft dough.

Cover and let it rest for 4 hours.

In a deep pan, heat 2 cups of oil.

Coat your finger with oil & take a small ball of dough and fry it. When it is golden, flip it over to the other side. Then, strain them, and drop them into the cold syrup.

Continue to fry the balls until the dough has finished.
