pecan pie

This is an amazingly rich pie recipe with pecan nuts that add a little crunchiness and balance the sweetness of the filling. You can serve it with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream

Ingredients

CRUST

400 g flour

200 g butter, melted

1 egg white

1 tablespoon sugar powder

1 tablespoon water

FILLING

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup white sugar

2 eggs

1 tablespoon flour

1 tablespoon milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup chopped pecans

1 teaspoon rum

FILLING

½ cup butter

How to Cook:

CRUST:

Mix all the ingredients together and knead to form a dough.

Roll out the dough in between two nylon sheets.

Put the dough in a buttered pie pan. Put aside.

FILLING:

Beat the eggs, vanilla and rum in a bowl with an electric mixer until it foams. Stir in melted butter and brown sugar. Then, stir in white sugar and flour. Lastly add the milk, and pecans.

Pour the preparation in the unbaked pie.

Preheat the oven at 200 degree C. for 10 minutes.

Bake in oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until it takes color.
