With Sousou’s recipe, you can have this beautiful pineapple cake right on your table. It is sure to please all your family and friends with its .surprising blend of flavors and juicy texture.

Ingredients

4 eggs

½ teaspoon vanilla

4 cups flour

3 cups icing sugar

½ cup pineapple juice

¾ cup corn oil

3 tablespoons powdered milk

3 teaspoons baking powder

1 big can of pineapple slices

1 tablespoon grated lemon & orange rind

½ cup walnuts, grated

50 g butter, melted

½ cup brown sugar

How to Cook:

Beat the eggs, sugar, lemon & orange rind, and vanilla in a bowl with an electric mixer until it becomes light and fluffy. Lastly, add the pineapple juice.

Add in the flour, the powdered milk and the corn oil in 4 batches. Then, add the baking powder.

Place a buttered cake pan on the stove and add the butter and brown sugar. Stir on low heat until the sugar has caramelized. Spread the grated walnuts. Next, place the round pineapples over the sugar and walnuts.

Pour in half of the cake mixture. Then, place another layer of pineapples. Lastly, add in the rest of the cake mixture.

Bake in oven at 200 degrees Celsius for 50 to 60 minutes.
