Heavenly Falafel bites for your gatherings…

Ingredients

  • DOUGH
  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons cornflour
  • 2 tablespoons instant yeast
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 to 1¾ cup water

 

  • FILLING
  • 10 fried falafel, cut each in 6 pieces
  • 1 big tomato, diced
  • 3 pickled turnip, diced small
  • 5 small radish, diced small
  • ½ cup parsley leaves
  • ½ cup mint leaves
  • 1 cup tarator

How to Cook:
  • DOUGH
  • Preheat the oven for 20 minutes.
  • Mix the flour, salt, yeast and baking powder in a bowl.
  • Then, add the olive oil, cornflour, and salt. Next, gradually add water and knead to form a dough.
  • Put the dough on a floured work surface. Knead it for 5 minutes or until it becomes smooth.
  • Put it in an oiled bowl. Cover with a nylon film and cloth. Let it rest for one hour.
  • Press down on the dough with one hand for one second.
  • Divide the dough into small pieces (walnut size). Cover and leave for 20 minutes.
  • Roll out, each dough to form a flat circle.
  • Put nylon on the trays and put the circle in them.
  • Preheat the oven for 20 minutes.
  • Put an empty big baking tray in the oven until becomes hot.
  • Turn each circle on the other side and place it on the hot tray.
  • Bake in the oven until golden.
  • Put the baked circles in a wet cloth and cover with another wet cloth.

 

  • FILLING
  • Mix pieces of falafel with tomato, pickled turnip, radish, and parsley.
  • Cut one side of circle pitas, fill it with falafel mixture and add mint and taratour

Total: 12 pieces
