Spicy Fish Fillet & Rice. A healthy, easy dish with flavours that pack a punch.

Ingredients

Fish:

 

  • 800 Grams fish filet
  • ½ Cup flour
  • 1 Teaspoon red pepper
  • Salt and white pepper to taste.
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil

 

Rice:

 

  • 3 Cups basmati rice
  • 4 Cups water + 2 Fish cubes
  • 3 Onions, diced
  • 2 Garlic cloves, smashed
  • 1 Teaspoon grated lemon rind
  • 1 Hot chili pepper, cut round
  • 1 Tomato, diced
  • Salt, coriander, black pepper, cumin
  • 3 Tablespoons chopped fresh coriander
  • ½ Cup fried pine nut
  • ½ Cup almond

How to Cook:
  • Mix flour, red pepper, salt and white pepper. Coat the fish and fry it with oil and butter. Keep aside
  • Wash the rice and drain it
  • Fry the garlic and onions in the same oil of fish until it changes color. Add the chili pepper and lemon rind for few minutes. Then, add salt and pepper mix and fry for another few minutes.
  • Next, add the rice and fresh coriander. Stir to combine the pepper with rice. Lastly, add the fish stock. Reduce the heat until all water evaporates.
  • For Serving place the rice in a serving plate, place the fish all around and garnish with almonds and pine nuts
