zucchini and minced meat tray

Are you getting bored of the old traditional zucchini recipes? Here is a new idea from Sousou. Enjoy the zucchini with ground beef sauce and topped with cheese. Try it and you won’t regret it.

Ingredients

1 kg zucchinis, cut into round slices

MEAT

200 g minced meat

2 medium onions, cut into small cubes

2 tablespoons oil

1 tablespoon sumac

½ teaspoon cinnamon powder

salt and pepper to taste

TOMATO SAUCE

800 g soft tomatoes

2 onions, diced

2 cloves garlic, sliced

2 tablespoons olive oil

salt and pepper

300 g mozzarella and gruyere cheese.

300 cl fresh cream

black pepper to taste

How to Cook:

MEAT:

In a pot, fry the onions with oil until they change color. Then, add the meat and stir until the water evaporates. Next, add salt, pepper, sumac and cinnamon.

TOMATO SAUCE:

Peel the tomatoes and dice them.

In a pan, fry the onions and garlic with oil until they have color.

Add the tomatoes and let simmer until it thickens. Add salt and pepper.

Grind them.

ZUCCHINI TRAY:

Steam the zucchini until half soft.

In a Pyrex, spread 3 tablespoons of tomato sauce. Then, add one layer of zucchini. Add the meat over the zucchini. Next, add the remaining sauce and zucchini. Lastly, spread over the fresh cream and sprinkle the cheese on top.

Bake in oven until golden.
