Countless are the benefits of spinach and unfortunately it's so hard to convince kids with it. Here's your ultimate creative Sousou recipe to trick them into not leaving a crumb! Bake a tart out of it!

Ingredients

THE DOUGH

250 g flour

125 g melted butter

1 pinch salt

1/3 cup water

THE FILLING

1 kilo chopped spinach

3 small onions, cut into cubes

2 tablespoons corn oil

200 g fresh mushrooms, sliced

1 maggi vegetable stock cube

200 g feta cheese, mashed

THE TOP LAYER

2 eggs

200 ml fresh cream

salt to taste

½ teaspoon white pepper

200 g gruyere cheese

How to Cook:

DOUGH:

Place the flour, salt & melted Butter in a bowl. Add the water. Kneed well using your hands until a dough is formed. Cover the dough with nylon film and let it rest for half an hour.

Roll the dough out and place it into a tart pan.

Bake it in the oven until it is golden brown.

FILLING:

In a pan, fry the onions with oil. Then, add the spinach, mushrooms & Maggi cube.

Mix together on the stove until the spinach becomes soft. Set aside.

When the spinach mixture is cold, add the feta cheese.

Spread the mixture on the dough.

Beat the eggs, salt and white pepper with a fork. Then, add the fresh cream.

Spread the Egg over the spinach and place the gruyere cheese on top.

Bake in a moderate Oven heat until the cheese has melted and golden brown.
